The following describes the data we store and process in our internal computer systems and which legal rights you have regarding our handling of that data.
Your customer profile:
As a registered user of our website, VF-Auktion.dk, you have provided us the following information describing your person:
First name, last name, physical address and optional company name.
We store this information in our customer database and use it to send you physical letters and postal packages.
For internal use, we also store data on your auction bids and purchases of auction lots on aftersale and shop items.
In case you have entered your email address on your customer profile, we’ll send you settlement statements, invoices, payment reminders and newsletters via email. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can always revoke your subscription, either via your customer profile page or by clicking the unsubscribe link that you’ll find at the bottom of each newsletter email from us.
If you want to receive your won and aftersale bought auction lots by post, we’ll need to store your telephone number. This is a requirement of the postal service, as they’ll need it in case they have to contact you regarding your shipment.
A customer number is assigned to your profile. This number cannot be changed after registration, but you can always log in to your customer profile and update your personal data via this link:
In case you have provided us with your bank account number, we store it in our internal customer database and use it to automatically transfer settlement funds for the auction lots we sell on your behalf.
Online card payment details:
When you pay our invoices via our website, we redirect the online payment process to a secure payment gateway. Your card details are only used to process the payment at hand and we do not store them.
An IP-address is a unique network identifier, linked to the computer you are using to access the internet.
When you visit our website, VF-Auktion.dk, we temporarily store your IP-address before and after you log in to the site. We store IP-addresses mainly to show a count of visitors to the site at any given moment. Prior to you logging in, the IP-address is only stored in our web-servers memory (RAM) and is automatically deleted after 5 minutes of inactivity on the site. When you log in with your customer no., the IP-address is stored in our system along with your customer no. and a time-stamp. This information is kept only for internal technical troubleshooting and possibly for investigation into online fraud and criminal activity.
The IP-addresses of each visit to our website also gets stored in web-server logs by our IT-operations partner company and are automatically deleted after 30 days.
A ”cookie” is a piece of data that we store in your internet browser when you’re logged in to VF-Auktion.dk.
This cookie data is only used to identify your login session with a unique random code that we assign your browser on each seperate login. The cookie contains no personally indentifyable information and exists only until you log out or close your internet browser – unless you explicitly use the ”keep me logged in” feature. In that case, the cookie is persisted in your browser in order to facilitate automatic login every time you visit our website and you’ll have to manually delete the cookie to deactivate that. We do not collect or aggregate any website statistics that are linked to your personal data.
We do not use or embed any third-party tracking or advertising services on our website.

The right to erasure:
You can have your information erased from VF-Auktion’s computer systems, unless those data are nessesary for our legal requirements, such as accounting and auditing law.
